Scan cosmetics and contribute to a Plastic Free Future

Description

The PlasticFreeFuture App, Plastic Soup Foundation helps you spot plastic ingredients in cosmetics. A simple scan of the ingredients indicates whether your product contains plastic and whether it is biodegradable (code orange) or not (code red). As a consumer you can then decide whether you want to purchase and use the product. And if you choose to go platic-free, you find plastic-free alternatives in the list of scan results.

This app builds on the success of the Beat the Microbead app that Plastic Soup Foundation introduced more than five years ago and which has been downloaded by more the 300,000 people globally.

Ninjible developed this mobile application based on Flutter and using Google Gemini AI to analyse the scans. The design of the app was handled by Accenture Song.

You can download the beautiful result of this collaboration between the passionate team of Plastic Soup Foundation, Accenture and the Ninjis of Ninjible from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store now.

We won't stop at this first version. An update, able to scan detergents and clothing, is coming after the summer. Future versions will also allow you to scan an entire shelf in a shop with olor coding to help you choose the right plastic-free products

Download this first version of the app today and contribute to a plastic-free future yourself!
