The big consultancies are hunting for one profile. We already are it.

Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini and McKinsey are urgently looking for Forward Deployed Engineers: technical minds who don't just build AI, but make it really work for the customer. Over the past year and a half, Ninjible has developed into exactly that: AI specialists, engineers and consultants in one team.

Only 2,000 FDEs worldwide with repeatedly proven AI implementations

And demand structurally exceeds supply (according to the FD)

Companies are done experimenting. Now AI has to deliver.

Organisations are past the pilot phase. The question is no longer “can AI do this?”, but “how do we deploy it at scale and connected to our systems, data and processes, securely and in compliance with the rules?”. That's exactly where the Forward Deployed Engineer comes in: someone who starts with what you want to achieve and translates that into a solution that actually runs. The big advisory firms see demand for this profile growing faster than they can fill it.

Three minds. One team. Zero layers in between.

What the market calls scarce, we at Ninjible have organised as a team. No standalone AI model, no standalone builder, no standalone advisor, but the combination your question needs, around one table.

01  AI specialists
From model to measurable result. We select, connect and tame AI that fits your data and goal — not the other way around.

02  Engineering
Engineers who anchor AI in your existing software, systems and processes. Robust, scalable, secure and compliant.

03  Consultancy
We start with what you want to achieve, map it out together and stay at the table until the solution really works.

What is a Forward Deployed Engineer and why is this AI specialist so in demand?

A Forward Deployed Engineer, abbreviated FDE, is a technical specialist who works closely with an organisation to design, build and implement complex software and AI solutions directly in practice. An FDE combines software engineering with consultancy, process knowledge and the ability to work with users and decision-makers.

A working AI model or a promising pilot is not yet a solution. AI has to be connected to existing data, software, work processes and security requirements. Employees need to be able to work with it and the application must be reliable enough to actually run in production.

It is precisely in that last, often complicated step that a Forward Deployed Engineer makes the difference.

The role was popularised by Palantir and is now also deployed by, among others, OpenAI and Anthropic. OpenAI describes the function as a role in which engineers work closely with strategic customers, investigate their business and technical challenges and develop and implement complete solutions. Anthropic also recruits Forward Deployed Engineers worldwide for the practical application of AI at customers. OpenAI, Anthropic.

Suppose you're a Ninjible customer. What do you notice of that FDE story?

You notice it from the start. You don't get a long intake followed by weeks of silence. You get engineers who watch how your team works and keep asking until they understand where it really hurts.

In the classic model, a digital project runs through a chain. One person gathers the requirements, another writes them out and a third builds. Context is lost at every handover. The result is a digital solution that is technically correct, but just doesn't do what is needed.

A Forward Deployed Engineer cuts through that chain. He works at the front, close to the business. He talks to the users, sees where the process gets stuck and translates that directly into a working solution. Thinking and building sit in the same person.

You notice it when something changes. And something always changes. There is no change request with a new quote. Anyone who understands your business can move along with it without the project grinding to a halt.

And you notice it in the result. Applications your people actually use, because it was built by someone who saw how they work.

That is the difference between hiring an agency and a partner like Ninjible who stands at the front.
